The International Summer School on the Regulation of Local Public Services is held each year in Turin, Italy, since 1997, and organised by the Turin School of Local Regulation.
The Turin School of Local Regulation (TSLR) is a network school focusing on local aspects of regulation and governance of public services and bridging the gap between the academic research and the local decision-makers.
The Summer School offers two weeks of lectures, workshops and on-site visits on the regulation of (local) public services (e.g. waste, water, public transport, district heating). It is made for professionals and officials from the Public Administration (municipalities, counties, regional bodies) and regulatory agencies, from all over the world. In 2018, the Summer School attracted more than 30 students coming from 23 countries
From September 2018, I am delivering a lecture on European energy consumer rights. It is a very fulfilling experience and I hope that the students will bring many of the best practices back to their respective countries.
